The Issues

• Abolish ICE.  Hold ICE agents and leadership accountable for murdering people in the streets, indefinite detention, and violating civil rights.

• Release the Epstein files.  Prosecute child rapists and traffickers, no matter what office they hold.

• Stop illegal wars.  Only Congress has the power to authorize war.  End the use of vague, unending authorizations for military force.

• End presidential immunity.  In 2024 the Supreme Court granted the president absolute immunity from prosecution for any crimes committed in office.  This is unjust and must be overturned by Congress.

• Ban stock trading in Congress.  When the people who write the laws buy and sell stocks, that’s a recipe for corruption.  Insider trading is illegal everywhere else; make it illegal in Congress.

• Get corporate money out of politics.  End bribes to politicians.  Reverse the Citizens United decision that lets corporations shape our elections.

• Repeal the Jones Act.  Today, most ships crossing the Pacific are prohibited from moving cargo between Hawai’i and the mainland, driving up the price of everyday goods.  This costs every household in Hawai’i an average of $1,800 per year.

• Universal healthcare.  Everyone should be able to go to the doctor and dentist without going broke.

• Empty dwelling tax.  Rent is higher than ever, yet more than 10% of homes in Hawai’i are vacant.  Pass a tax on long-term empty homes to make more housing available.
